Advanced Training
Our Trainership for practicing physicians located at The Hospital for Sick Children, was created to deliver world-wide, high-quality training in the emerging field of paediatric point-of-care imaging.
Our innovative education programs emphasize technical expertise and advanced understanding of paediatric-specific, point-of-care imaging applications through unique and immersive experiences.
We currently offer two Paediatric Emergency Medicine Advanced Training programs for established physicians caring for ill or injured children.
Trainership
This immersive program brings Canadian and International practicing physicians to The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, for a 4-12 week training experience. Trainees receive specialized lectures and 1:1 coaching from our POCUS faculty focusing on their selected applications in order to gain clinical competence. This experience is enriched through attending a weekly journal club, image review sessions, small group scanning shifts and procedural simulation workshops.
